The Mezquita de Córdoba is a Catholic Christian cathedral, which used to be an Islamic Mosque in the Middle Ages. As a result, you can see both Islamic and Christian elements, which makes the cathedral quite unique. Built as a Christian cathedral, it was soon turned into a Mosque around 784, but was turned into a Catholic chuch again during the Reconquista in the 13th century. I was really impressed by this building and its definitely worth a visit!
